We are growing and looking for an Intermediate or Senior BAS Accountant to join our team.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with clients, takes pride in delivering accurate work, and wants to be part of a collaborative firm with strong community connections.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work with a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries, providing compliance and advisory support including:

  • Preparation of financial statements

  • Preparation of income tax, GST, payroll, and FBT returns

  • Managing client compliance requirements and deadlines

  • Responding to client queries and providing practical advice

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

  • Assisting clients with cloud accounting and business systems

  • Accurate job costing and time recording

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in people who are technically capable, client-focused, and a good fit for our team culture.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a NZ public practice BAS accounting role

  • Strong understanding of NZ tax and financial reporting requirements

  • Experience using Xero and Microsoft Office products

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability

  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach

  • CAANZ qualification or currently working towards CA
