Devan joined the firm in March of 2024, beginning in a part-time administrative role while completing her studies. During this time, she became familiar with the team, the firm’s systems, and the day-to-day operations of an accounting practice. Her strong work ethic and interest in the profession led her to transition into a full-time Graduate Accountant position, where she is now developing her technical skills and expanding her knowledge of accounting processes.

 Devan is close to completing her Bachelor of Business, majoring in Professional Accounting, at the University of Waikato. Studying alongside her work has allowed her to build a solid foundation in financial principles and reporting, with the benefit of seeing how these concepts play out in a real accounting environment.

In her role as a Graduate Accountant, Devan focuses on accuracy, learning best practices, and strengthening her understanding of the systems and processes that support the firm’s work. She enjoys problem-solving, gaining exposure to different areas of accounting, and continually improving as she progresses toward becoming a fully qualified accountant.

 Outside of work, Devan loves spending time outdoors and making the most of the local beaches, swimming, and enjoying time in the sun. She also enjoys walking her dog and catching up with friends, keeping a healthy balance between her studies, career, and personal life.

 Devan is excited to continue growing in her role, taking on new challenges, and developing professionally as she builds her future in the accounting field.
